THINKING OUT LOUD Excercise

THINKING OUT LOUD SENTENCES

1. Sweep you off (of) your feet

This sentence (in this song) means "to carry someone", that's why the autor it's using it to say: "even when we were older, and I couldn't raise you up or hold you in my arms (carry you) i'll be loving you the same way i do now, will you?" but also It's an english expression reffering to the feeling that one gets when completely taken by someone, carried away, swept away (all emotionally), like making someone fall in love with you in a short amount of time, and, sometimes it's applied in a more broad context like: to be surprised, enthralled, exhilarated.

Example: Musicians can be swept off their feet by a new musical composition.

2. Fall in love

Start to feeling love for someone. Being in love.

Example: Claudia falls in love with her baby, every time he smiles at her.

3. Thinking out loud

When you talk about your thoughts to yourself. It's used too like an expression of: "I'm not yet sure of my own opinion (or what am I feeling) about something. I'm just sharing my thoughts just like they are coming in my head. Telling you how I'm thinking at this moment."

Example: I'm sorry, i was just thinking out loud.

4. Evergreen
That something never dies, and never goes away. It's always "green", FRESH, NEW, YOUNG.
Example: Even if we are miles away, our friendship stays the same. It's evergreen.

My Major

I´m in my first semester in Universidad Del Valle de México, studying Communications.

I was studying the same career at UABC when i was 18 years old (i´m already 29) but there was so many things in my head at that time, and i just wanted to do something in music. I was a little bit frustrated because my parent's wishes (to have a "real" job, a "real" career, not an artistic one) so I started to have so many troubles focusing in school, it was difficult to me to integrate myself with my classmates, etc. So, I have started to fail classes and then, my psychologist gave me a diagnosis: "Depression".

I was feeling so lost.

I left school some months later, but after a proper medication, I've started to feel so much better. Maybe I needed to live the things I lived, and to know me more. I did so many things in music and arts, that i´m proud of, and i don´t regret the time I spent doing it. I think I found myself in arts, in the stage, in the rehearsal room, in the teachers and co-workers who taught me so many things, I found my place, my passion, almost all my actual friends, and my 2nd family.

Now, after all, I was ready to finish what i´ve started. It´s never to late right? So, i'm here, with 29 years old, and all my mind focused on one thing: Do my best to achieve this new goal. I'm doing it for me! I want to improve myself, always trying to be a better version of me.

Why Communications? Well, I was always interested in Audio-Visual Production, and all the creative process (transform an idea into something real, create a message and be able to share it properly with the world), learn how to use and mastered the editing software (music, sound, video, photo), the marketing stuff, and all the creative-artistic side of this career, where I think I can apply my musical and acting knowledge to do something interesting.
